GR Auto Gallery is excited to present this 1971 Chevrolet Corvette
454 Coupe for purchase. The C3 generation of Corvettes are known as
the Stingrays. Before government regulations started chipping away
at the abilities of these road carvers, the Corvette was on top of
the muscle car heap. What helped them reach this pinnacle was the
available 454ci V8 big block making a rated (and probably
underestimated/fudged) 365 horsepower in 1971. The only other cars
available with this power were extremely heavy Mopar's built to go
in a straight line. The Corvette was nimble, agile, aerodynamic,
and with a 454 did not kneel to anyone.
This American classic is dressed in red over a black vinyl
interior. Under the hood, the engine is painted nicely and the
surrounding area is highly detailed and presents well. The
non-numbers matching 454 big block fires right up and runs as it
should. The automatic transmission shifts through gears with ease.
This car handles like a dream and holds the road very well. It
rides on Firestone wide oval tires mounted on the 15 inch factory
wheels. The chrome center caps and beauty rings show very well.
This powerful car has factory air conditioning, T-tops, power
windows, power steering and power brakes. All the chrome and bright
work show well. This is a well-kept treasure that has been in a
private collection for many years, it is turn-key ready to go.
