Being offered is a beautiful 1970 Chevelle SS with all the right stuff. Canadian built with real SS documentation. This vehicle just received a complete frame off restoration and has been driven 50 test miles. Vehicle is loaded, equipped a fresh NOM 454 motor producing 450HP and rebuilt TH400 automatic transmission coupled to a 12 bolt 3:73 posi rear end. It is further outfitted with a an HEI ignition, new Flow Master exhaust system, F41 suspension package, full gauge cluster, power steering and power front and rear disc brakes over new 18/20” 5 spoke rims.
If you are looking for muscle car to invest your money into (given the condition, color combination, engine/transmission combination, the pure curb appeal and drivability) this is a car you should consider. The pictures speak to the many of hundreds of hours and tens of thousands of dollars in restoring this car.
The car is finished with beautiful new base coat/clear coat cranberry paint. Paint quality is great; it shines like glass with no swirl marks, rock chips, etc. New quarter panels and floors were installed. The sheet metal is very straight with good panel gaps.
Riddler 18” front, 20” rear 5 spoke rims along with new tires set this car off. The vehicle has new weather stripping, window fuzzies and gaskets. The car’s stance looks right and has those classic lines of a 70’s muscle car. The windshield and windows are all very nice with minor scratches. The bumpers and emblems are new and the window moldings have all been buffed to a high shine. This car turns heads every where it goes and will provide years of pride in ownership you can only find in cars of this quality.
The interior is mostly new and presents well. No cracks in the dash and no rips or tears in the upholstery. It is equipped with a sport steering wheel, factory tachometer and working gauge cluster to monitor engine performance. All the instrumentation and interior lighting work. Yes, even the clock works on this car. It has an AM radio. The floor consol is new as is the shifter assembly and looks great. DynaMat insulation was used throughout the interior. Everything on this car works as it should.
The drive line consists of a newly rebuilt NOM 454 motor with upgraded large rectangular port heads. It produced 450HP and yes, it is fast. It also has a freshly rebuilt TH400 transmission with 2000 RPM stall converter and 12 bolt, posi track rear end. A new starter, new alternator, new battery, 4 barrel Holly carb with electric choke, aluminum intake, belts, hoses, etc, etc, all complete this highly detailed engine bay.
Underneath, the frame and undercarriage presents as new. The frame is excellent. This SS Chevelle is also equipped with all new shocks, front & rear sway bar, new power brakes (front & rear disc brakes) and lines, plus all new suspension parts (springs, bushings, etc). A new gas tank and gas lines were also installed. It’s all new under there! The trunk is detailed and presents as factory stock appearance with bumper jack and wide oval spare tire.
Driving this car is a real pleasure. It starts effortlessly and sounds sooo good. Alignment is good; it steers straight and stops straight under hard braking. The acceleration is awesome…….nothing like big block power.
