Excellent color combination, totally accident free, and in full
working order in every way!� An excellent road going vehicle and
sweet investment for the classic car enthusiast looking for all the
modern amenities!� At one time, Classic Motor Carriages was the
largest facility to produce a number of unique kit cars to eager
buyers wanting to own a piece of automotive history. They offered a
Porsche 356 Speedster, 1929 Mercedes replica known as the Gazelle,
a 1934 Ford street rod, and many others! Most of the cars they sold
were in kit form that required owner assembly, but some were
obviously offered as factory production examples for immediate
enjoyment. Only one offering, their top-of-the-line model known as
the Classic Tiffany, was delivered only as a factory complete
vehicle. Starting with a brand new Mercury Cougar 2-door sedan, the
basic chassis would be stretched and fitted with a new curvaceous
fiberglass body. The Tiffany was dripping in elegance, brand new in
every way, and very striking with classic design characteristics!
Offered here is a 1986 CMC Classic Tiffany finished in Canyon Red
body with Black fenders and Dark Red cloth interior! All body lines
are accented nicely in black & red contrasting pin stripping. Power
comes from the Ford 5.0L EFI V8 and automatic overdrive
transmission providing amble power and torque! Features and options
include electronic climate control HVAC system (converted to
R134a), power windows, power locks, dual 8-way power front seats,
keyless entry, cruise control, on-board tip computer, digital dash
display, AM/FM/Cassette/EQ Premium Sound audio system, automatic
headlight dimmer, amber fog lamps, chrome air horns, dual side
mounted spare tires, front badge bar displaying USA & Great Britain
style acknowledgements, rear luggage compartment with triple
leather decorative straps, original carpeted CMC interior floor
mats, and more! Being a factory built car, each example took
exactly one year to produce and complete. The original donor car
was provided in August 1986, but the CMC sticker on the door
displays a completion date of August 1987. Since that date, our
example has been driven only 9,459 miles! A remarkably original
example that was provided a garage kept lifestyle and used only on
the nicest of days! It will show only the most modest of wear at
the front end that has been touched up very well, and one flaw at
the base of the driver's seat. Otherwise, we stress that everything
on this example is like new and works perfectly! All power
features, air conditioning, lights, accessories, etc are in full
working order. It is titled as a 1986 Mercury 2-door sedan and has
a clean CarFax history. This represents a remarkable opportunity to
own one of the best CMC had to offer, and with such low mileage,
