Gorgeous show stopper! Chevrolet's luxury model came in the form of
the Bel Air though 1957, before the introduction of the upscale
Impala. These final year top-of-the-line Bel Air models have
cemented themselves into history as an automotive American icon the
world over! Gorgeous rear fins, wider grill, gold anodized
Chevrolet script and "V' Chevrons, tons of stainless trim, and an
options list to cover nearly every feature you could image! This
gave the Bel Air a well-deserved nickname as the Baby Cadillac! We
are very pleased to offer this stunning 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air
Sport Coupe finished in Matador Red over Red/Black interior!
Features include original 283ci-4 barrel Power Pack V8 producing
220 horsepower thru dual exhaust pipes, Powerglide automatic, power
steering, power brakes, factory installed air conditioning, rear
fender skirts, polished stainless steel spinner hubcaps, Wonderbar
AM signal-seeking radio with rear seat surround sound' speaker,
all Soft-Ray tinted glass, reverse lamps, windshield washer,
electric wipers, dual mirrors, along with rear trunk lid trim &
door handle paint protectors! The full frame off restoration is
nothing short of remarkable; especially when considering the
complete restoration was completed in the early 1990's! It has been
lovingly owned by just 2 owners since 1996, and shown extensively!
With over 70 shows already under its belt by 1999, it would have a
private climate-controlled & carpeted garage lined with dozens of
trophies, ribbons, and awards listed as "Best Overall" or "1st
Place". Not to be left as a trailered showpiece though, this Bel
Air was always entered competition into contemporary driven class
categories accumulating some 7,000 miles from 1996-1999 being
driven to events. It would travel to the Classic Chevrolet
International Winter Nationals in 1999 and be honored with the
Platinum Certificate scoring 987/1000 points! This led to a
featured centerfold article in Classic Chevy World magazine in
August 1999. Built in December of 1956 in the Los Angeles assembly
plant, it comes with a host of service and restoration history
included with the sale. You can study every inch of this car for
flaws, and hardly find a single criticism. A true testament to its
care and unbelievable attention to detail! Even underneath the car,
it presents today as nearly brand new! The odometer lists 13,822
miles, all believed to be accumulated since completion of the
restoration. Make no mistake, there will be few opportunities to
find such a Bel Air available on the market, especially with
factory air conditioning! Having already been professionally
restored to this level of originality makes it easy to avoid the
obscene restoration costs, and immediately begin enjoying it direct
from our showroom! Please feel free to call with questions or
schedule an opportunity to review in person.
