Vehicle Description
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle
Although some consider it as belonging to the 2nd generation of
Chevelles, in 1970 Chevrolet completely redesigned the appearance
of this muscle car creating another iconic look. The dual front
headlights carried over from previous years but the grill set up
changed and the body had a more squared up stance consistent with
the "coke bottle" styling of the time. Many report the 70 Chevelle
as their favorite body style and there is no question why. These
cars had an incredibly tough look and everyone the saw them drive
by knew they were looking at a muscle car. This 70 Chevelle is done
in a pro touring style and was built up with all of the best
components money can buy. It was constructed by Chuck Hanson, the
co host of "Horsepower TV" and "Chucks Garage." A majority of the
build was documented on television for viewers across the country.
Chuck is also the president of the American Chevelle Enthusiasts
Society so not only does he know classic cars, he loves Chevelles!
The body on this car is in excellent condition with zero rust or
bondo. It is very straight and coated in Cortez Silver with Black
racing stripes. The chrome and trim is all new so it has a perfect
shine. The car has an awesome stance and we can't stress enough how
tough it looks in person. The Coy wheels accent it perfectly and it
has 18 inch wheels up front with 20 inch wheels in back.
Getting those wheels spinning is a strong running 355 V8 small
block motor that has been entirely rebuilt with March serpentine
pulley system and Holley Terminator EFI fuel injection system. The
engine compartment has a show ready appearance with gloss black
inner fenders, polished radiator cover and lots of added chrome.
Paired with the motor is a tight shifting M21 4 speed transmission
that transfers power back to the 10 bolt positraction rear end.
Detroit Speed front and rear suspension was added along with
tubular upper/lower A arms so it rides just as smoothly as it runs.
It has Baer disc brakes under all four corners which are of course
power assisted.
The interior is complete in Black and done with the perfect
combination of custom aftermarket and stock components. The high
back bucket seats are very comfortable and seat to each side of a
custom console that incorporates cup holders and additional storage
space. The dash utilizes some of the stock features but has been
upgraded with a Dakota electronic instrument panel. Other nice add
ons include the Billet steering wheel and Vintage AC/heat
system.
This is the type of car you can drive anywhere comfortably and
always leave with a trophy! It has all of the pro touring features
you could ask for and is being offered at a great price.
