1951 Chevrolet Fleetline Deluxe CUSTOM HOT ROD Matte Black / Red
Leather 305cu V8 / Turbo 350 Auto Trans Custom Paintwork New
Interior Evolve Motors and Chicago Car Club are pleased to present
this 1951 Chevrolet Fleetline Deluxe! This 51 Chevy Hot Rod is
very well done. The black, red, and white color combo suits the car
brilliantly. It's sinister, yet still looks very sharp. The build
was completed less than a year ago and is now ready to be enjoyed.
The car runs and drives very well; it starts first turn, and the
exhaust note is exactly what you'd want from a hot rod - angry but
not deafening. Exterior: Matte black paint, rather than a wrap,
emphasizes the car's swooping lines and flared-out hips, while red
steel wheels with white-wall-ringed tires and chrome baby moons
round out the look. Paint shows very well all around, with no rock
chips, scratches, or scuffs to be found. This car has had quite a
bit of custom pinstriping done, matching the car's red/white/black
theme. Pinstriping includes two six-shooters on the front end,
bullet holes on both rear quarters, a design on the dash, and a
woman on the rear deck lid. Trim presents well, though not quite as
well as the paint. Trim is mixed; there is some patina'd trim with
a bit of texture to it, like on the rear deck lid, and there are
some new chrome pieces, like the bezels and headlight trim. Panel
fitment is dead on, and the doors open and close easily. The only
flaw of note is a dent in the chrome at the very bottom of the
driver's side rear door. Interior: The interior is almost entirely
new. Red leather front and rear seats are new, as is the carpet,
door panels, and suede headliner. Fuel gauge and speedometer show a
bit of patina, and the steering wheel shows slight wear in the form
of a small crack. Interior chrome shines bright, and the pinstriped
dash looks great. Glass is clear and intact, with the exception of
a chip in the rear passenger window. Heat blower works, as do all
lights and the horn. All windows track properly. Under the Hood /
Underbody: Odometer reads 71,726, though with the amount of new
parts under the hood, the odometer is largely irrelevant. The car
has a 305cid V8, a Turbo 350 automatic transmission, aluminum
radiator, new alternator, HEI ignition and distributor with Accel
wires, Williams headers, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Holley 4bbl
carb, a new 12V battery, solenoid, starter, and Hankook 205/75/R15
tires on steel wheels with baby moons and portable white-wall
rings. The car looks good underneath; body mounts are solid, as are
the shock towers. There's a little spot of rust on the inside of
the forward-most point of the driver's side rear quarter, which is
not structural. Floor pans are original and dry. Trunk is dry as
well. Overall, this is a nicely done build. The car runs and drives
well and doesn't make any odd noises or have any tendencies of
concern. Please feel free to reach out to Mike or Jake at
