Having debuted in 1995 at the Geneva Motor Show and based on the renowned Bentley Continental R. The refined and more expensive Bentley Azure with a list price of around $340,000 benefited from the input of the famous Pininfarina design house. The Azure saw a very limited production run of 200 examples being produced for the 1997 year from a total run of only 1,403 examples over an 8-year period ending in 2002.
Given the then list price, the Azure was highly optioned as standard. This particular example was ordered with the bespoke ‘Non-Standard’ feature of the complete center console trimmed spruce to match the top roll.
The power output is from a 6.75 liter fuel injected and intercooled Garrett Turbocharged V-8 producing 385 bhp @ 4000 rpm and 553 lb. ft. of torque @ 2000 rpm. Performance is 0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds with a top speed of 145 mph.
