Vehicle Description
For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a unique hotrod
truck. Built from a 1951 Ford F1. A lot custom fabrication work has
gone into this truck, and it is good stuff. The original frame has
been boxed and a "Z" channel in the rear to tuck the axle. The cab
was channeled with the floor being raised 4 and a half inches for
the that perfect height. The metal dashboard was a completely
custom fabricated piece as was the grill. The grill in fact was
formed from a single sheet of steel using old school skill and hand
tools like a hammer and the sand bag. Let's get to the drive train.
The engine is a Chevrolet big block 454 CID V8 and is backed by
TH400 transmission, the strength needed for the 454. In the rear is
a GM 10 bolt with 3.73:1 gears. The suspension is surprising, upper
and lower tubular control arms on the front with QA1 coilover
shocks in the front and a customer trailing arm suspension with the
QA1 coilovers in the rear. Driving this truck is really easy
especially with the power steering and the power brakes being
added. This is a hotrod that is ready to rock and roll with nothing
needed. For more HD pictures and video visit
