Those of you who follows us at OLD FORGE Motorcars know that we
have a special spot in our hearts for Model A Fords, especially
unique one's like this Tudor.
Interestingly, original correct features indicate that this is a
very early 1930.
The matched numbers engine was produced in November 1929, the oil
pan is of the '28-'29 design as is the brake light switch.
Remember: Old Henry typically would use up the previous model's
parts before moving on to the current model's.
The interior of this special Tudor is the original Henry installed.
That's right this interior is the one this car was born with!
So how did the interior survive in tact for 87 years? Answer:
Housed in a South Carolina museum for decades the interior received
virtually no use.
Another feature of interest is the miles 31,782 which are believed
to be original. The Pennsylvania title clearly indicates that the
actual miles at time of purchase, October 1, 2012, to be
029531.
The current owner and an OLD FORGE friend is fanatical about
insuring that his collector cars are always in "tip top" condition.
He likes to tour (2251 miles since purchase) and he goes to
extremes to insure safety and reliability. Documentation to that
effect accompanies this gorgeous Ford icon.
