Vehicle Description
1954 Jaguar XK120 3.4 OTSThe Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust trace
certificate confirms that this XK120 is a 1954 built 3.4 liter Open
Two Seater that was dispatched on 22 February 1954 in left hand
drive format to the US main distributor Max Hoffman in New York.
The original color scheme was Birch Grey with a red interior and a
Gunmetal grey soft top. An additional note on the JDHT certificate
is that the build record did not originally indicate this to be an
SE (Special Equipment) model but the current owner has provided
copies of the commission plate showing the chassis and engine
suffix numbers thus confirming it to be an SE model XK120. The
previous owner undertook a frame-off restoration and had the engine
rebuilt to faster specification. It should also be noted that the
head has been re-stamped to match the block whereas the block is
original to the chassis. The car runs and drives excellent is is
mechanically very strong. The paintwork shows well but has some
minor blistering in places and a few smaller scuffs. The interior
is clean and the car comes with a tonneau cover, side curtains,
tool kit and some books and manuals, as well as a lovely set of
aero screens which can be substituted for the full windscreen if
required. When the car was finished being restored it scored
variously at local JCNA concours events in Seattle, Portland and
Canada taking a best net score 99.8 second class award at Seattle
and since then has probably only been driven some 1,000 or so
miles.Price: $79,500
