Vehicle Description
Great Deal! Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to be able to
offer this beautiful classic! A 1970 Pontiac LeMans! Most people
know this car as the car you can turn into a sweet looking GTO but
the LeMans has been around for a long time and needs no
introduction. There is even a race named after it in Europe!
Amazingly, this car has only covered 68,418 miles since it first
left the showroom all those years ago. So, you can be sure that it
will rumble down the road for years to come. This is a 2 owner car,
& the car has been kept indoors for the past 30 years. This one
sports the powerful & always reliable 350 CID V8 engine that is
mated to a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission which
helps keep all of that power under control. Reassuringly, the
engine has only covered 3,000 miles since it was rebuilt by S&S
Auto located in Houston, TX. The rear end differential & the gears
inside are believed to be the stock ones that came with the car.
Back in the 80's it was repainted in the gorgeous Coronado Gold
exterior color that you see it presented in today. It has clearly
been garage kept and meticulously maintained since then because it
looks nowhere near that old. The trim, bumpers, glass, emblems, &
light lenses are all in fantastic condition with no major blemishes
or dings. Inside you will find a light tan vinyl interior to match
the rest of the car. The seats are in good condition and free from
any tears or discoloration. The carpet, door panels, dash, & the
headliner are also in good condition and look fantastic giving it
is the original 47 year old parts. This is a sharp looking car that
would be a great fit for that person who drove this in highschool!
The owner has completed some recent maintenance items on the car so
the next owner can rest a little easier. These include; having the
engine rebuilt, all brakes have been rebuilt and gone through, the
carburetor has been rebuilt & adjusted, a new gas tank with fuel
lines/filer/pump, new radiator, new shocks all the way around, &
more. The owner has receipts for all completed work. One of the
drawbacks of owning a classic car can be the lack of modern
conveniences like power steering and air conditioning. Luckily,
this car has all of that. Air conditioning (not blowing cold, needs
new compressor), power brakes, power steering, power locks, seat
belts, vinyl interior and radial tired with raised white letters.
This is an excellent example of a fantastic vehicle from the
American muscle car past. Don't miss your chance to take this one
home. Call the Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220 for more
