Vehicle Description
Stk 2249 1962 Ford F-100
This 1962 Ford F-100 was fully restored in 2012, and is not a stock
restoration. Built-to-run from the ground up, this F-100 street rod
was well thought out and carefully constructed. The body style,
known as a Unibody Styleside, was only offered from '61 to '63. The
all-stock exterior of this truck was the recipient of an
outstanding Dupont 2-stage black/silver re-spray and the bed has a
diamond plate deck, custom tailgate and fitted tonneau cover. The
dramatic interior belongs in this truck. Hyundai Tiburon sport
bucket seats hug driver and passenger. A functional console
provides storage, holds a Sony AM/FM/CDX stereo and locates the
Hurst ProStick shifter. The Old-Air climate control package manages
heat/cooling requirements and a custom spoke wheel rests on a
Summit steering column. Finally, Summit 'vintage look' gauges give
an indication of what is under the hood. Horsepower comes a 350ci
Chevy small-block that has been totally rebuilt. It was bored .030,
runs a Scat crank, Vortec heads, Edelbrock intake/600cfm carb and
HEI ignition. Exhaust escapes through Summit BlockHugger headers
and 2-1/4" aluminum pipes. The transmission is a GM 700R4
TurboHydramatic that is backed by a Ford Explorer differential with
4.11:1 gearing. Power assist 4-wheel disc brakes provide stopping
power. Front suspension is a 'Full-Tilt-Street-Rods' Mustang II kit
with power rack and 11" discs. A 17-gallon aluminum fuel tank is
tucked under the bed and steel wheels (W7"f/10"r) with 15" Cooper
Cobra radials complete the chassis. This Ford F-100 street rod was
carefully designed and precisely built. Why not have some fun in
