Back in 1954, auto manufacturers were unveiling their new designs
to the public at the New York auto show and this little roadster
made a real impact on all that walked past. A few short years
later, Mercedes-Benz started production of the 190SL for those who
had been dreaming of the day they would be able to put that same
car in their garage. Now after 60 years, this sleek black 190SL is
back on a showroom floor and still dropping the jaws of all car
enthusiasts that walk past. A beautifully restored Red interior,
meets the driver as they gaze inside. A tan convertible top in
excellent shape can be dropped back to enjoy the sunshine and get
the full affect of owning such a unique roadster. This Mercedes was
restored in 1996 and no expenses were spared in the restoration.
All panels were smoothed and filled with lead (Old school style).
The car was primed and worked until each panel was straight. The
red interior is spectacular with detail given to every part of the
restoration, from every knob to each screw head. Power brakes were
added, along with an electric fuel pump for reliability. Seat belts
were also added for safety. Since the work was completed, this car
has been well cared for and looks just as great as it did all those
years ago. "A dream comes true", was one of the slogans that
Mercedes used when this car was new and the saying still is true
today. This roadster is ready to be enjoyed and cared for by a new
owner! This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can
