Nice, dry and rust free 1949 Cadillac 4dr car.
As you can see the paint has been baked by the hot Arizona sun, the body is excellent and the chrome is from good to excellent also.
The carpet is original since 1949 and it is dry, the front seat covers are also dry. The rest of the interior is usable as is for a good driver quality car. Original door panels, headliner etc.
We recently bought the Cadillac from a local older collector here in Arizona and he had serviced the car not that long ago, the fuel tank was cleaned, new fuel lines, new brake lines and hoses. New battery and new radial tires.
We have just serviced the Hydromatic transmission and added new, fresh engine oil and filter.
The car starts and runs fine still and the brakes still works great, the transmission shifts through all gears.
I don't know of any reason it could not be use and driven as is but as it has been off the streets for several years i would not drive cross country without taking it on shorter trips first!
The body on this Cadillac is excellent, the chrome is good to excellent. It has bever been messed with from what I can tell since new.
It's not a restored show car but it is something as rare as an unmolested, almost 70 year old car that can be used as you see it and with no rust to repair and no chrome needing redone it is an inexpensive classic!
