Now available in our Philly location is a 1989 Maserati T-C
Convertible. This car is pristine with only 16,120 original miles.
The original Umbrella and tool kit issued with the car are still in
place. The complex story of the Chrysler's TC by Maserati has been
told many times over: Introduced at the 1986 Los Angeles Auto Show,
ostensibly to become a 1987 model, the TC ("Turbo Convertible,"
according to the dealer window sticker) it actually didn't appear
until the 1989 model year. The concept for this luxury two-seat
convertible dated back to 1984, when Chrysler bought 15.6 percent
of Maserati--the majority of the remaining stake belonging to De
Tomaso Industries--with the idea of having Maserati produce a small
number of luxury cars for the Detroit automaker. The first year of
TC production was the largest, with 3,764 units being built by
Officine Alfieri Maserati S.p.A. in Milan. With the removable
hardtop included, the no-options sticker price was $35,000, or
$63,000 in today's dollars. The vehicles are special, have an
international flavor, perform well, and remain wonderfully
attractive. And the TC America Club body of newsletters will help
the vehicle remain in play. To view this 1989 Maserati T-C
