For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Camaro in Kentwood, Michigan

Vehicle Description

Just in from a private collection, we are pleased to present this very well done 1967 RS/SS Camaro for sale. Super Sports have been the workhorses of Chevrolet's performance lineup since 1961 when the notorious SS name plate was first applied to the company's full-sized cars. To the Chevrolet enthusiast, the presence of SS badges implies a beefed-up drivetrain, stiffer suspension, strong brakes and an array of stripes and callouts serving as the uniform for the muscle car wars of the late 1960s. Not every generation of Camaro has had a super sport edition, but the F bodies that have worn the badges have been pretty special.

Special is a modest way of describing this 1967 Camaro. It was possible to order both the RS and SS packages, and receive a RS/SS Camaro, which is exactly this case with our example. The RS package included numerous cosmetic changes including a blacked out grill with hidden headlights, revised parking and tail lights, upgraded interior trim, and RS badging. The SS package included a upgraded 350 V8, along with simulated air-intakes on the hood, special bumble bee striping, and a blacked out grill.

This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS is finished in beautiful Bolero Red, accented with subtle, yet intriguing white racing stripes. Redline bias ply tires mounted on rally wheels are easily overwhelmed by the numbers matching 350-cu in, four barrel carburetor, small block V8 with 4 speed manual transmission. Dual exhaust serves to accentuate the deep engine note. The interior features a very rare fold down rear seat with deluxe white seating and trim scheme that further enhances the stunning good looks of this 67 Camaro.

The quality and overall impression of this Camaro landed it on the front page of Hemmings Motor News for March, 2014. This Camaro has not only stardom but exceptional provenance as well. Documentation that includes a American Camaro Association score sheet of 984/1000 plus also receiving a Senior AACA award as well. It has completed Bow Tie judging, Legends judging and also has been dissected and reviewed by Camaro expert Jerry MacNeish with full report. This Camaro is one of the finest we have ever seen. Consider this iconic Chevrolet with confidence.
