561-866-1601. For nearly a decade the W116 body Mercedes was hailed
as the most advanced, finest driving, and safest luxury sedan on
the market. Even by today's advanced standards, these are
magnificent driving cars. They are a reliable, spacious, and
wonderful high-speed road cars. These cars were offered with many
different engine choices and body styles. Offered in a short or
long wheelbase, this 450 SEL is the most desirable of all. It has
the 4.5 L V-8 engine and the longer wheelbase for a very spacious
rear seat. Our car is quite unique. Having only 49,000 miles, it
has only had two owners and has been maintained to the highest
standards. This highly original example is believed to have all
original paint, a magnificently original interior, and can be
critiqued to the highest standards. Everything on this car is
original with the exception of the European style headlights. At
one time the original Becker radio had been removed, and we
replaced it with a fully restored unit purchased directly from
Becker. So original is this car, the spare tire appears to have
never been on the ground, and the jack is still wrapped in the
paper from the factory. It's previous owner had performed nearly
$6000 of work on it three years ago. However their circumstances
changed shortly after completing this work and the car sat. It was
stored in a climate-controlled area where it was run frequently. We
have documentation of the extensive work they performed. We wanted
to make sure this car was completely turnkey and mechanically as
desirable as it is cosmetically. As with all of our cars it has
received a thorough inspection and service. To get this car ready

This car is an absolute pleasure. It is tight, fast, and takes you
back to 1980 in your mind. Inside there are no cracks on the
dashboard or door panels. They are perfect. The leather shows
virtually no wear and is still firm and supportive. The wood is
nearly perfect. All of the gauges are crystal clear, all of the
graphics on the buttons are still beautiful, and every lightbulb in
the instrument panel works. Outside, the paint is of the highest
quality and the chrome gleams. The engine compartment of this car
looks the way it did 37 years ago, or close to it. The same can be
said for the trunk where the original carpeting is still perfect
and the spare tire looks brand-new. Painted in Champagne Metallic
with Bamboo leather, this 450 SEL is in a classic color
combination. It has no rust anywhere. And would be a proud car to
