Offered for sale is a 1970 Cranberry Red Chevelle Convertible. This is a matching number 396CI-350HP automatic T-400 with a 12 bolt Posi rear end running 3.73 gears. It is also equipped with Disc brakes, T-41 suspension, power top, bucket seats, console, Functional Cowl Induction hood, and a Comfort Grip steering wheel. In 1970, the engines were marketed as 396CI but had a .030 overbore that made them 402CI. This car has a black top, black interior, and black stripes. It also has the 14inch SS wheel with reproduction Goodyear Polyglass Raised White Letter G-70 tires. This car has been treated to a frame off restoration and needs nothing. It runs and drives out excellent!
In 1970, all Chevelles were Malibus unless they were ordered with an SS package. The only way to determine if this car came from General Motors in this configuration is to have the original Build Sheet or window sticker, which we do not have.
