For Sale: 1976 Porsche 912 in Reno, Nevada

This is rapidly becoming a rare Porsche to find and prices are going upon these cars. Only 2100 manufactured. The first 912's (1965 -1969)were styled like the 911 but with a 356 4 cylinder engine, the 912 actually outsold the 911 when the 911 was first introduced. The 356 engine put out a modest 86 horsepower but the car actually out performed the vaunted 356 because it was better designed. By the time they re-introduced the 912 for its second production run(May 1975 - July 1976), they were using a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder type 4 engine putting out 86 Horsepower. With better gas mileage and excellent handling here is your chance to join the Porsche world at a lower price level. The current owner of this car bought it in 1980 when it had 40,000 miles on it.He and his wife drove it all over the countryand racked up the mileage you see here with nary a problem. The engine was rebuilt approximately 5000 miles ago.
