from Mercedes Benz prestigious SL line, this 2002 Mercedes-Benz
SL500 Silver Arrow Edition. The Silver Allow Edition was built to
commemorate the original Silver Arrow competition cars that
Mercedes produced in the 1930's. The SL 500 Silver Arrow Edition
Received a host of special equipment over the standard SL500, and
the design is considered the best era for Mercedes reliability.
Each of these limited production SL 500's were finished in Silver
Arrow metallic paint, had fully-lined black soft top; brushed
aluminum instrument cluster with chrome bezels; aluminum trim on
the wind deflector, shift gate, pedals, grille and trunk lid. In
addition, unique new multipiece, six-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels
with 245/45ZR18 and 275/35ZR18-inch tires front and rear;
factory-drilled brake rotors front and rear; Xenon high-intensity
gas discharge headlights and a six-disc CD Changer in trunk. The
interior of the Silver Arrow SL500s included two-tone leather
upholstery in silver and black for both seats and door panels and
leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob. 1400 Silver Arrows
were produced to commemorate Mercedes racing successes of their
late 1930's era Grand Prix cars. This was the last version of the
venerable R129 series SL platform has the 315HP 347 pound feet of
torque 32 valve V8. They are wonderful to drive and are extremely
reliable.
The Silver Arrow Edition here was delivered new August 21, 2001 by
Mercedes-Benz of Wilsonville, Wilsonville, OR., and lived the
majority of its existence on the west coast of the United States.
The car has traveled just 56 916 miles since purchased new and its
present condition remains excellent in all areas showing less than
normal wear consistent with the miles and age.. It is very apparent
that the vehicle has been responsibility maintained cosmetically
and mechanically through out its 16 years from leaving the factory.
The two tone silver arrow interior features its signature tooled
gauge bezel, perfect dash, supple leather, hardly any wear in the
carpets, excellent wood, everything works and the A/C blows ice
cold. The Silver Arrow exterior paint is excellent, the special
edition wheels excellent, and the engine area very tidy. On top of
the Silver Arrow Package options listed above the car comes with:
Leather interior, fully adjustable power bucker seats with memory,
heated seats, auto dimming rear view mirror, premium sound,
electronic stability control, etc. The car possesses excellent
drivability as the vehicle performs as one would expect a well
cared for, well maintained SL class Mercedes to perform.
The 2002 Mercedes Silver Arrow Edition is another feather in the
cap of the prestigious SL model line as it is the best of its
generation. These cars sold new near the 100,000.00 dollar mark and
many were paying over sticker to get there hands on one. As a
