Vehicle Description
This 1950 Willys-Overland Jeepster is ready for summer cruising.
This Go-Devil powered, open air, drop top is ideal for California
skies, where this particular has lived most all of its life. She
has lived a pampered life, proudly wearing Concours D'Elegance
badges on her dash dating back to 1963. The current caretaker has
kept her in climate controlled storage, professionally maintained,
and occasionally driven for the past decade. This vehicle has been
professionally inspected by an independent 3rd party professional
as a condition of consignment.
Opening the hood reveals a factory stock appearing engine bay,
complete with the torquey iconic GO-Devil I4. Shine it up and
proudly display it at the next Cars and Coffee, or drop the hood
and head up the PCH. Either way, she's up to the task.
The exterior paint is in likewise excellent condition, and the
inspector only noting two scratches on the top of the rear bumper
and minor dimpling and crazing in brightwork. Brightwork can be
easily polished to restore that like new gleam. The top fits and
seals well, no creases or cracks, factory side curtains included.
The paint itself is nicer than one would expect from a car that is
driven on enjoyed.
Interior is in very good condition overall, showing patina on the
chrome and bright work consistent with an unrestored original
componentry. The most significant flaw is the driver's side kick
panel (see photo). The original radio is intact, but not
operational. All the other gauges and accessories are in fine
working order. The soft trim, including seats, interior panels,
convertible top, and seals are in excellent condition.
The undercarriage is clean and dry and finished in satin black, not
Concours detailed. Everything is solid and in good working order,
in very good driver quality condition.
If you are looking the original Sport Utility that is both factory
original and can actually be driven and enjoyed, then this is the
Jeepster for you!
