For sale in our Chicago showroom is a shimmering 1960 Chevrolet
Corvette. The C-1 Corvettes have always been popular and were
completely redesigned in 1958 with quad headlights and were very
attractive cars for the period and remain an icon today. One of the
very popular designs of the time was the exhaust coming through the
rear bumper removing the ugly exhaust tips dangling from the
underside of the trunk pan. This beauty is finished in Sierra Gold
Metallic which was a popular color on the 1957 Chevrolet, another
American icon. The interior has been beautifully restored and
finished in pearl white which is a lovely contrast to that
glittering gold metallic pain. Under the hood you will be pleased
to see the original, numbers matching 283 Cubic Inch V8 that was
rated at 230 Horsepower which is not too shabby for a fiberglass
bodied car. Mated to that small block Chevy V8 is the automatic
Powerglide transmission which was known for smooth shifting and
superior durability. Of the 10,261 units produced in 1960 only
1,563 were produced with the Powerglide transmission. Additional
options on this vehicle include the popular Wonderbar Radio, sun
shades and a cozy heater for those chilly days. This car has had
years of loving care and recent work including brakes and wheel
cylinders, new convertible top, new interior, new exhaust and
tune-up. If you have been waiting for that eye-catching first
generation Corvette to come around that has a touch of unique flair
this may be the one for you. Located in our Chicago showroom, this
restored 1960 Chevrolet Corvette can be seen including an HD video
