2004 Dodge Ram 2500, 5.9 diesel, 6 speed manual, crew cab, long
bed. Power windows, remote entry, cruise control, factory am/fm/cd,
trailer towing package, sure grip rear end with 373 gears. 5000
miles on Rotella oil change and air filter, new 10 ply tires, new
shocks and complete front end rebuild with alignment. Odometer
shows 269k well maintained miles. Engine was replaced at 100k with
a 54K complete engine. Original engine had an oil consumption
problem and ran out of oil at highway speeds. I have the original
complete engine, as I kept it for spare
injectors/turbo/heads/alternator/etc. Clutch, ujoints and carrier
bearing replaced at 200k. Rust free truck sold new in New Mexico,
garage kept and never driven in snow or salt. No previous accidents
or repaints. Hood is from an 04 Rumble bee and original hood is
nice and also available. Interior is dark charcoal cloth, and the
dash is just now beginning to crack like they all do. Everything
works as it should, but will need the heater core replaced. Factory
receiver hitch and 7 pin trailer wiring with a very nice digital
controller. Gooseneck ball in bed. There are no performance 'chips'
or 'tunes', but the muffler has been removed. I have had this truck
for 9 years and maintained it religiously. It has the high output
305 HP 5.9 and I have never thought I needed any more power than it
puts out stock. The fuel mileage is beyond my expectations getting
24MPG unloaded @ 75MPH, and it drops down to 19 with a full bed and
an open trailer with a car on it. The longer wheelbase of the long
bed crew cab makes it a pleasure to pull a trailer. This is a very
nice, dependable, rust free truck that is ready to drive anywhere,
today. These HO 5.9 engines are known to go 500-750k without
needing major overhaul, if you change the oil, set the valves and
don't jack with the computers. I would still be driving this truck
if I hadn't got a newer one. I planned on driving it a few more
years, but I had the chance to get an 08 6.7 4x4. The fuel mileage
difference indicates that I may have made an error. My loss is your
gain. Original 5.9 engine with all accessories comes with the
