For sale in our Dallas showroom is the dream of dreams in the
restoration world. A gorgeous 1957 Chevy Bel Air Convertible that
has been the recipient of a 7 year long frame off rotisserie
restoration by Don Rich Body Shop. After an acid bath and a glass
blasting, all imperfections were removed and replaced with new
metal, with the only panels needing replaced were the rear quarter
panels. Then the paint, 4 coats of each base/clear coat using
DuPont Chromabase on all body sheetmetal. The exterior color is
Larkspur Blue and the interior is Harbor Blue. They are the factory
correct colors for this 1957 Chevy Convertible. You'll notice the
continental kit which was original to this car, as is the trim
beneath the deck lid. The fender skirts were a dealer installed
item and correct for this car. The rear bumper was rechromed using
the copper base by Nashville Chrome, a shop well known for their
chroming process. The tires are Coker radials with wide white
walls, but then again what else would you put on this car? You'll
notice that the dual antennaes were added for a period correct
feel. The interior was redone just as nicely as the exterior and
has a unique look with the shades of blue that it came with. The
engine is a correct 283 cid V8 that was bored .040 over, blue
printed, and balanced. The heads are the power pack heads that are
correct for this year. The radiator is a Harrison dated for 1957
with a new core. The transmission is a 1957 two speed Powerglide
rebuilt like new. The rear end was rebuilt to like new condition
with 3.36:1 gears for a balanced ratio. The is one of the nicest
Bel Air Convertibles you will come across and is well worth your
time to check out. You won't be disappointed. The features include
