For Sale: 2001 Chrysler Prowler in St. Louis, Missouri

Vehicle Description

Gorgeous one year only color of Mulholland Blue over Black leather interior! Beautifully cared for since new and showing just 11,144 miles on the odometer! Powered by 3.5L High-Output V6 producing 253 horsepower and 255 lb. ft. of torque! Fast, super fun to drive, and still a head-turner 16 years after production! A certain blue chip future collectible! When Plymouth gave their designers an open invitation to create a modern day Hot Rod, the process of bringing a car of this fashion to the showrooms was a lengthy one! The design itself was an instant hit and was a success at the Detroit Auto Show for multiple years before going into full production for the 1997 model year. Built in limited quantities, the new Prowler became an instant collector piece! We are delighted to have the opportunity to offer buyers this 2001 Plymouth Prowler finished in very desirable Mulholland Blue over gorgeousCharcoalleather interior and Blue convertible top. Fully featured with factory equipment that include the High-Output 3.5L V6 engine, 4-speed AutoStick transmission, 4-wheel disc brakes, rack & pinion steering, air conditioning, front airbags, updated Kenwood AM/FM/CD player, cruise control with steering wheel mounted controls, tachometer, auto dimming mirror with trip computer, and staggered chrome5-spoke wheels measuring 17" up front and 20" at the rear! These cars were produced for only 5 years with production ending in approximately November 2001 when finishing the 2002 model year run. As production continued year to year, updates to the design from the factory included new dynamic shocks & springs for a smoother ride, lower fiction ball joints, black bumpers, better alternator, and new torque converter. Excluding pilot cars, only 11,578 were sold to the public. Of those, just 1,178 would be sold in Mulholland Blue for 2001. These vehicles are very unique with a lightweight aluminum chassis, open front wheel design with fenders reminiscent of street rods built in the 1930's, and develop surprisingly potent power from an aluminum 6 cylinder engine producing 253 horsepower and 255 ft. lbs. of torque! It can launch this 2-seat roadster to 60mph in just 5.9 seconds! This Prowler comes with books & manuals, storage car cover, upgraded K&N air filter, two binders full of history, service, & ownership documentation, chrome rear rotor covers, and front nose chin scratch guard. Part of this car's early history involved a fire in the original selling dealership's service department in 2002. With the insurance settlement, all vehicles inside the building were recovered by the insurance company as damaged vehicles. This Prowler was sitting proudly locked up on the showroom floor, and left completely undamaged with just 50 miles on the odometer! It sold through the insurance company to an Illinois dealer and a new title was issued as "rebuilt" under state law. It sold to the public with 168 miles in November 2002. We would like to stress it has had no damage, no paintwork, and no replacement parts since it left the factory. With only 3 owners from new, and the most recent having kept it beautifully in a climate-controlled collection since 2009, it continues to appear as-new with virtually no visible wear whatsoever! If you missed your chance to buy one new, or simply insist on buying cars that are just about perfect for your own private collection, this wonderful opportunity should not pass you by! Act quickly!
