For Sale: 1959 Morris Minor 1000 2Dr Traveler in Tucson, Arizona

Vehicle Description

1959 Morris Minor, Left Hand Drive, Deluxe Traveller, Semaphores and over $40,000 invested in this rotisserie restoration!

This beautiful, very high quality, fresh, thorough, and rare Morris Minor that was treated to a no-expense-spared and fully sand blasted to bare-metal rotisserie restoration. Very few Left Hand Drive Travellers were built specifically for the United States market and only a small number are on the road today! Additionally a certified copy of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust from England will be included.

Some of the many cool and interesting features include original and perfect working and mega cool trafficator (semaphore) turn signals, period roof rack for luggage/skis/surfboards, optional map light, courtesy light, correct round heater and fan, fender-mounted side view mirrors, front and rear ashtrays, and the original jack with the original jack bag, too.

The body was completely disassembled, sand blasted to bare metal on a rotisserie, all necessary rust repair, welding, body work, and prepping was done to a very high standard. The body was repainted in the original and masculine factory color of Frilford Grey, the wheels were painted Pearl Grey, and the woodwork was completely refurbished by master wood craftsman, Byron Martin. In order to keep the finish accurate and true to English spec, amber spar varnish was used throughout.

The interior has been thoroughly and faithfully restored to factory specs as well. Double insulation was used throughout to keep it nice and quiet and enjoyable on the road.

Mechanically this Traveller features several desirable upgrades including a 1275cc performance dual carbureted engine, heavy duty exhaust manifold, heavy duty transmission, a 3.9 rear end, and front disc brakes, too. Additionally this is a 12 volt negative ground vehicle which is necessary to operate the radio. The original and working radio is included, but not currently installed. At highway speed, this Morris averages 32+ miles per gallon.

Additional added features include windshield washer, reverse lights, hazard lights, tachometer, temperature gauge, cigarette lighter, leather steering wheel cover, Odyssey battery, and front and rear safety belts were installed for safety and convenience.

There are some cool and valuable spares and extras that are included in the sale including:

Set of 5 wire wheels, sandblasted, etched, painted, with 4 octagonal spinners, splines, and safety knockoff wrench (a $2,000 value!)

Plenty of new and used spare parts
