Chevrolet 3100 pickup. For 1957, many visual changes were made: The
former egg-crate grille was changed to a more open-mouthed design,
with eight bars holding an open trapezoid in the center, and a pair
of wind splits appeared on the hood. Dished steering wheel, safety
door locks and strikers, and a more rigidly mounted rear axle
(using threaded spring shackles instead of the center-draw-bolt
type used previously) were among the other improvements. The V-8
models grew to 283 cubic inches, 160hp and 270 foot-pounds of
torque. This 57' Chevy has been through a full frame off
restoration that saw almost every part on the truck from bumper to
bumper be replaced or restored. The front clip of the suspension on
the car you will find a 1980 Firebird front clip and suspension
system that gives the car a much better & safer ride. The rear
suspension has also been upgraded and gives the truck a great ride.
The exterior of the truck is in great condition and shows very
well. The body is straight & true, the body panel gaps are even.
The bumpers, trim & glass are also in great condition and really
pull the look of the truck together sitting on those polished
aluminum American racing wheels. The 57' features a new tailgate
with chains, new driver & passenger doors on the truck, & new oak
boards in the bed of the truck. This truck is powered by a 350 CID
V8 that mates with a Turbo 350 transmission. Both components have
been rebuilt with less than 1500 miles on them. The truck has also
been treated to a new full wiring harness for the truck resolving
any electrical issues. The truck features a new dual SS exhaust
system that gives the truck a great sound. Other great features on
the truck worth mentioning is the Vintage Air A/C system that blows
cold, AM/FM with compact disc player, a new custom billet gauge set
in the dash, a new chrome 1957 grille & the exterior trim has been
re-chromed, a new aluminum radiator, new windshield wiper motor,
new foil floor insulation, & and new carpet. The interior shows
very well. It has custom front floor mats, a recovered seat, new
headliner, front windshield and back glass, new seat belts, new
carpet, new sound insulation, & more! To put it simply this truck
