Vehicle Description
The number of cubic inches of piston displacement is directly
proportional to the amount of torque that can be coaxed out of an
engine. To bring this premise to pavement-searing life, this GM
Specialty Vehicle Department Camaro 510 features 556 ft/lbs of
torque at 5,000 rpm, 600hp at 6,000 rpm with a cast-iron marine
502ci cylinder block bored .030 over. It features a nitrided and
cross-drilled marine forged-steel crankshaft, forged-steel rods
with ARP bolts and Wiseco forged-aluminum mini-dome pistons, GM
open-chamber aluminum cylinder heads and Manley stainless-steel
intake and exhaust valves. It also features COMP cams hydraulic
roller camshaft and valve train, and Felpro seals and gaskets.
