Vehicle Description
Built for a short five year period the Cosmopolitan featured either
a four-speed Hydramatic automatic transmission that was actually
sourced from GM or the now desirable three-speed manual on the
column with overdrive technology. It was mated to the largest
flat-head V8 produced by Ford, the 337 cubic inch producing a
pretty strong 152HP. It was a important time for styling and the
engineers at Ford "Frenched" the headlights and the body-work
appearance was called "Ponton" which referred to the fender
design.
This particular beauty has been completely restored with most of
the work being completed in 2014, however a recent mechanical and
freshening up at the cost of almost $13,000 has just been
performed. This car starts on a dime, does not leak or smoke and
goes down the road better than new. It is finished in gorgeous
Hunting Grey over red interior and is ready for just about anything
you want to do with it. Full receipts accompany the vehicle as well
as many service manuals, original owners manual and original key.
This vehicle is equipped with power top and windows with working
over-drive transmission. This Cosmopolitan is ready to be enjoyed
and driven.
