1994 Porsche 911/964 3.6 TURBO ‘S’ FLACHBAU in Huntington Station, NY

Vehicle Description

1994 PORSCHE 911/964 3.6 TURBO ‘S’ FLACHBAU
--Guards Red with Black leather interior, Black carpeting, 18,000 miles, 5-speed manual transmission. 1 of 76 total produced by Porsche!!

The factory options include: Sport electric seats front and left, 18 inch Polished wheels, Electric Sliding Sunroof, Remote CD Changer (6 Disc) and the Turbo “S” Flat Nose Package.

This 3.6 Turbo S Flatnose is 1 of only 39 US examples imported to the USA and 1 of just 76 worldwide production. The 964 Turbo ‘S’ Flachbau is one of the rarest Porsches to ever leave Stuttgart’s Porsche Exclusive Department, formerly known as the Sonderwunschprogramm or the Special Wishes program, where cars were built to non-standard specification.

This particular Turbo 'S' package with the X85 Flat-nose option included air conditioning with automatic climate control, a rear-window wiper, quad exhaust tips, power-assisted steering and power-assisted "Big Red" four-piston disc brake calipers behind 18-inch diameter polished Speedline modular wheels, tinted glass with a banded windshield, headlamp washers, a fixed rear spoiler and front air splitters. This said, 3.6 S Flatnose models varied with regar to interior specification since this was a “wish package” and could be ordered to specific owners requests and requirements.

This special Porsche runs on a special engine, code X88, 3.6 liter Flat 6 producing 380HP with an incredible 384 lb-ft of torque thanks to a bigger turbo, modified camshafts, valve timing, cylinder heads, inlet manifolds, an extra oil cooler, a four-pipe exhaust system and heavy duty clutch assembly. This model was for only the true die hard Porsche enthusiast and collector who could afford this special limited edition model that cost an extra $60,000 above the base model at the time.

This particular 964 Turbo S Flachbau was designated for the US market and delivered new to Fred Baker Porsche Audi in Bedford, Ohio. Sold new to an enthusiast collector, it was driven 9,000 miles before trading to its next well-known Porsche collector owner in 1999 who took it to his holiday home in Florida. The Porsche was kept for 10 years before trading hands once again. Since this time, it has been in the collection of a good client of ours, a New York resident with any excellent collection where it has been kept and cared for. This well optioned example came with an MSRP of $165,147. This Flatnose shows many of the original factory vin stickers, including that on its rear bumper, hidden under the license plate. It has never sustained any accident damage or paintwork and represented as a proper collector Porsche that has been cared for exceptionally from new.

This Turbo ‘S’ Flachbau represents an opportunity to acquire one of the rarest models to ever leave the factory. With the 1973 RS Lightweights reaching over a million dollars and being one of 200 examples, these 3.6 Turbo S Flachbau’s having been manufactured in even fewer numbers, 76 in total for world production are surely not only a piece of Porsche history, but also an extremely good investment opportunity. As a comparison, 3.6 Turbo S Flachbau’s with extremely low mileage have already achieved sales pricing worldwide at over a million dollars. We have offered this rare 3.6 Turbo S Flachbau with an asking price commensurate with its original 16,000 miles.
