Vehicle Description
This no-expense-spared example is finished in beautiful black paint
with plush red interior. It's equipped with Vintage Air, Dakota
Digital instruments, a Raingear wiper system and a custom radio.
Under the hood is a 355ci engine with Edelbrock aluminum heads and
ceramic-coated headers. The power is pushed through a 5-speed
Tremec transmission with a Ram clutch kit and finishes with a
12-bolt, posi-traction rear end with 3:73 gears. This car was
updated with an electronic ignition and American wire harness kit.
A March pulley and bracket system manages the new serpentine drive.
Engine temperature is controlled with a Be Cool radiator kit, and
performance is assisted with the upgraded new air cleaner. Under
the hood is only part of the story of this amazing build. From the
very beginning of the build, with the decision to start with a
one-off powder-coated frame and suspension, every detail was given
great attention. The rear suspension is a wishbone / 4-link combo,
and the build is complete with Heidts front end tubular arms and
coilovers. The final control piece is the addition of a lowered
Hellwig front sway bar and Wilwood power brakes for stopping. This
classic rides on Pirelli tires mounted on custom made-for-this-car
Boyd Coddington wheels.
