Vehicle Description
This very nicely built, red Cobra re-creation provides an
experience that's pretty close to the original. A strong-running,
built 302ci engine is backed by a Tremec 5-speed and a performance
suspension. Dyno-tested, the engine is full of high-quality
components, including a set of Edelbrock aluminum heads, an
oversized cam and roller rockers. It's also equipped with a Holley
4160 carburetor and an aluminum intake. The Shelby Cobra kit is by
Classic Roadsters, Ltd. Beautiful tan leather bucket seats give the
interior a custom look. A beautiful wood-rimmed steering wheel is a
correct reproduction, and the retro gauges are from Classic
Instruments and look fairly similar to AC's original Smiths dials.
Toggle switches for the ancillary functions also add an authentic
touch. It has a stereo and heater. The trunk is also nicely
finished with brown carpet and a nice flat floor. Disc brakes, rack
& pinion steering, tubular A-arms and coilover shocks make this
Cobra feel plenty lively. Handsome Halibrand-style alloys are
fitted with BFGoodrich tires.
