Auction #340-1940 Ford Standard Coupe- Eastern North Carolina BARN FIND, owned by the same man since 1968 when he bought it at the Blue Ridge Motor Lodge in Asheville, NC for $950. He rebuilt the original Flathead V-8 just after he bought it. He's owned it and kept it covered and wrapped in his weather-tight barn in eastern North Carolina since. Advancing age is his reason for finally deciding to let us find a new home for his prized Ford. Car is all original. Some cracking in the 77-year-old Henry Ford Black lacquer, nice original interior, wide whitewall tires, wheel trim rings, f & r bumper "ends", grill guard, trunk guard, and even a 1940 North Carolina license tag included. Fender skirts are also included in the trunk. This is a rare opportunity to own one of the bootleggers' favorites!
