The Bel Air was top of the line for the Chevrolet line up from 1953 until the introduction of savvy new Impala in 1958. That same year, all cars were renamed in order of trim level & price as the Delray, Biscayne, Bel Air, and then the Impala. It is fitted with a date-code FH-code 1961 348ci/350hp V8 engine with professionally rebuilt tri-power Rochester carburetion on a hot-tanked & repainted intake manifold, 1963 409ci/340hp heads, hi-temp coated exhaust manifolds mated to new aluminized original style exhaust system, rebuilt correct fuel pump, rebuilt original dual-point Delco distributor , factory style ignition wire set, #107 Delco factory spec coil, original 1961 Sun Tach tachometer recalibrated with original sending unit converted to solid state, new factory style radiator, rebuilt original water pump, new GM hoses & clamps, all detailed down to the Restoration Battery 458 DC-12 maintenance free battery and new voltage regulator! A gorgeous under hood presentation! Coming from the previous owner of 12 years, it has been meticulously cared for with authenticity in mind.
