For Sale: 1969 Ford Mustang GT in Milford, Michigan

$36,900 (OBO)

Vehicle Description

This is a 1969 Mustang GT 351 Cleveland  (5.8L) engine. Mach 1 Clone.  I'm selling this because it's time (kid going off to college).  Most mechanical maintenance work done.  The exterior looks very impressive .

1969 FORD MUSTANG  GT CUSTOM!!! UNIQUE PONY CAR WITH MACH & SHELBY ATTRIBUTES!  One of a kind!!

STUNNING RAVEN BLACK EXTERIOR / ELEANOR STYLE MAGS / A MUST SEE!

I am the second owner. This was a family owned car and driven daily but placed in storage for about 10 yrs. A full blown restoration was performed in 2010 and I'm told was taken down to the bare metal. The body is straight and free from amateur defects. The Raven black paint on the surface of the vehicle is smooth to the touch. There is some minor scratches and a paint chip since the restoration.  The exterior is very shiny and almost looks wet in direct sunlight! For the showroom look it has been cut and buffed. The body's contour is quite striking and the paint is very uniform as well. The doors shut as they should and the fit is pretty consistent with original tooling specifications.

An aggressive set of Tony Branda sanctioned Shelby side scoops have been added and really wake up quarter panels. A Custom flared Shelby style trunk deck lid and a Mach 1 hood scoop with the gloss black paint and flame red set of lower GT rocker panel stripes provides an excellent contrast and gives this vintage Ford a sporty look.  Many people see this vehicle and just love it.

All of the chrome / stainless moldings were restored to like new condition in 2010. Front and rear bumpers have both been replaced. An iconic pop open gas cap and a set of sport racing mirrors have also been added. Boasting "NOSTALGIA" is a set of black premium high back Mach 1 seats with a red upholstery stripe situated across the top. Located directly in back is a rarely seen luxury rear deluxe bench with molded buttons.Newly replaced Wood grain luxury staple Rim Blow steering wheel. It is complimented by the optional wood grain dash, console  and New matching wood grain door panels.

The engine under the hood of this pony car is incredibly strong. The pedestrian F-Code 302 block was replaced in 2010 with the renown 351 Cleveland (5.8L) that was rebuilt to perform! FMX transmission. Many internal components were upgraded to ensure this pony is strong as it is reliable. These include but are not limited to a forged racing crank, CompCam, Clevite performance rod bearings, Hypereutectic flat top pistons along with a high volume oil pump. Horsepower & torque ratios are very impressive (last rated at 400 / 420 respectively). I've had this engine tested and the compression is great.

A new all aluminum radiator has been installed which also makes each trip a pleasurable one. There has been high temperature thermostat added as well. Set of 17 inch Eleanor Mustang style steel polished mag wheels? were added with new lugs! You will also find a nice set of HT Performance radials at all four corners! The car is structurally sound and shows minimal rust 7 yrs after restoration.   The interior of this vehicje has just completed a new restoration.  It was totally striped and cleaned. Then reinsulated with sound deadening material. No floor pan rust was found. New IP and gauges added, new console gauges, new 5 channel stereo w/ all new speakers, new mass back plush carpeting, new seat racks, many new parts on steering, new exhaust, new "complete" brake job, 10" drums, lines and wheel cylinders, new shocks, heavy duty front springs, leaf springs have been rebuilt. This car is rebuilt like almost new.

I am selling this vehicle at a fair price considering everything I've done since owning it. Car is like new inside. An exterior very impressive. Do not buy that $15k "good deal"  classic car that you find on the internet hoping it's in great shape. It won't be. It will have many issues.

This like all classic cars is being sold as is with no implied warranty and is exempt from mileage odometer statements. Buyer must arrange for shipping. I will help coordinate.

There is a non refundable $500 deposit required to hold.  Car is financed and title held by Woodsde credit  - 800.717.5180.  If you need financing they can help get you approved.  Funds must be wired directly to them for loan payoff. Title can then be transferred . This gives you peace of mind and assurance of a legitimate deal by dealing and transferring funds directly to a bank.  Once payment is made they will coordinate reassignment of title to you as they currently hold a lein. The car is 48 years old and is NOT in any way considered in perfect condition so don't expect a "new" or "car show" quality.    This is considered a "Daily Driver" not "Showroom".   Inspections are welcome but a non-refundable deposit is required to hold.  No inspection implies you are accepting the vehicle as-is.  Serious buyers only please.
