Vehicle Description
This 1971 Chevrolet Nova SS Recreation is for sale in our
Louisville KY showroom. The Nova was introduced in 1961 for 1962 as
the Chevy II. It gave people a third choice between the compact
Corvair and the full size Chevrolet. Though a great selling car the
Nova would be more known for its small platform and huge space
under the hood lending itself to more big block builds in the
aftermarket than probably all of Chevrolets combined. This Black
beauty is a great example of what many people think of now when you
say Nova. The 68 to 72 model has become one of the most popular
models in the lineup. This 71 is a great example why so many people
have gone this route. The black paint is in excellent shape and
shows extremely nice. The brightwork only enhances the dark black
paint and gives the exterior a "grown up" feel. With its classic
Weld wheels completing the style of the exterior the next thing has
got to be what's under the hood. The 355 small block is healthy and
sounds like it. The aluminum heads save weight, run cooler, and of
course add a ton of power. With the exhaust gases being pout
through a set of custom headers which are dumped into a true dual
exhaust system people know this isn't Grandma's car. The TH350
transmission shifts nice letting you know that you have gone into
second gear. With the built 10 bolt POSI rear end having a 3.08
gear set acceleration is good while giving you a decent top end
too. Open the door and the black buckets are inviting while the
grey inserts break up the darkness just enough. With a huge tach
mounted on the column you will be reminded that this small block
355 is an absolute screamer. With the market on these "economy"
cars only going up this would make a great car to enjoy and
hopefully when you are ready to get rid of it make a little money.
Options on this 1971 Chevrolet Nova SS Recreation include; Power
Brakes, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels wrapped in
Radial Tires.
