Vehicle Description
As popular today as they were back in 1966, the Ford Mustang
convertible was the best selling convertible in the U.S. that year
with 72,119 sold, beating the runner-up Chevrolet Impala nearly two
to one. This 1966 Ford Mustang convertible was built December 7,
1965 at Ford's Dearborn, Michigan plant and was originally destined
for the Pierce Motor Company in Spartanburg, South Carolina where
it was sold to its first owner on December 24, 1965. It would stay
with the same owner until 1991 when it made its way to Florida and
the Mustang has resided here ever since. Powered by the correct
289ci 2V V8 engine which has stayed very original, it produces 200
horsepower and is mated to the correct C4 Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed
automatic transmission. This Mustang comes well documented with its
original dealer bill of sale, original window sticker and original
