Completely original 1986 560SL with 13,364 actual miles! A true time machine, it's the sort of car Mercedes enthusiasts always hope to find: complete with everything it came with new - all the books, all the trunk tools, spare never down, lighter & ashtray unused, factory keys, etc.
Extensive documentation includes the original window sticker and much more. The original Signal Red paint is spectacular after living in a garage all its life—never a night outdoors—and the leather feels and smells as new. Rarely-found optional heated seats are another bonus.
Absolutely no wear in the interior, dash is perfect, spotless exterior brightwork, the undercarriage looks like a two year-old car with only the factory undersealing—no rattle-can undercoat hiding issues. The black soft top has spent its life in the well, so it’s never been exposed to weather or sun, so it’s excellent. There are only minimal small stone chips here and there.
It has just gone through a very comprehensive Mercedes servicing, including new Michelins to replace the aged originals, so it runs and drives as new. Original windshield with the Daimler signature sticker still on it. Extras include a fitted cover for the hardtop when removed, factory shop manual, some period sales literature and an upgrade to a Sony stereo, including a 10-disc changer in the trunk.
