The Model: Long before O.J. and A.C. made the Bronco name infamous
in the world's slowest car chase, Ford introduced the line, in
1966, to compete against Jeep in the compact SUV market. The
little Bronco's 92-inch wheelbase ruled it as a plausible tow
vehicle but made it highly maneuverable off-road. The
shift-on-the-fly Dana transfer case put power from the upgraded
6-cylinder to the standard locking hubs. Initial sales of the
Bronco were strong but waned after more manufacturers joined the
segment. After several makeovers, the Bronco era ended with O.J.
and A.C. driving the very urban fifth and final incarnation of the
Bronco through L.A. while the world watched, the simple lines and
utilitarian nature make the little Bronco an American Icon.

The Car:The aptly named Peacock Blue paint applied to this SUV is
nearly perfect in both application and hue. The bright finish
shines like new and contrasts nearly perfectly with the snow white
top. With the doors open, you can see the factory color continues
into the interior space that is a combination of quality materials
and excellent execution. Under the hood, everything is complete,
clean, and fresh. Having been treated to a full restoration that
intended to restore this Bronco back to factory condition, this 4x4
looks like it's ready to work, but we all know it's far too pretty
for any real labor.
