1959 XK150 3.8 Litre Drop Head Coupe LHD
This delightful XK150 Drop head is a very desirable original 3.8
Litre car that has recently benefitted from a full chassis off
restoration. Constructed in September 1959 it was delivered new to
the United States where it remained for almost 50 years, before
being returned to the UK in 2008. Prior to its repatriation it had
remained in dry storage in Arizona since 1970 and with such little
use in its later life remained in very original condition and
provided an excellent basis for a full restoration. The work took
over three years to complete and incorporated a number of very
sensible upgrades including 4 pot brake callipers to the front,
high torque starter motor and competition chrome wire wheels. Since
completion of the restoration the car has been lovingly cared for
and covered less than 5000 miles and as such presents in a near
freshly restored condition. Finished in White with Red leather
interior and with full matching numbers and under 43,000 miles in
total it provides an excellent opportunity to acquire a delightful
and very useable example of the XK150.
