The roots of the ZL1 Camaro date back to the first generation back
in 1969 when Chevrolet was trying to enter a competitive version of
their Camaro into the Can-Am road racing series. However in order
for the car to compete, there had to be at least 50 of them made
for sale. These original ZL1's were outrageously priced compared to
the more civilized versions and thus making them very difficult to
sell. This 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is the second year of
production of the more modernized version and has definitely earned
the badge that it has donned. From the factory this Camaro comes
with a massive 6.2L supercharged V8 that pumps out an astounding
580 pavement pounding horsepower and is controlled by a 6-Speed
manual transmission. This isn't just your typical Camaro with extra
horsepower though. That becomes very apparent as you sit in the
driver's seat and notice the flat-bottomed steering wheel and dash
covered in a high quality alcantara-suede that feels much more
performance oriented and a hood with carbon fiber louvers in it.
There are many high tech components and creature comforts that
leave you second guessing if you are truly in a Camaro. The
original ZL1 Camaro is an icon in muscle car and automotive history
and the new era of ZL1's are sure to follow that same path. This
vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this
