For sale in our Houston showroom is a 1976 Chevrolet Corvette
Stingray. The 1976 model year for the Corvette included multiple
advancements in safety and driver comfort due to the tightening
federal safety standards and customers searching for more comfort
oriented sports cars. Gone were the split chrome bumpers, replaced
with polyurethane covers to hide the aluminum impact bar and Omark
brackets. This upgrade in safety and styling was embraced by
Corvette enthusiasts who agreed that it gave this era of Corvette a
more modern look. The yellow paint shines nicely showing off the
body which appears to be in excellent shape. Under the hood is the
original L48 engine that has been meticulously maintained having
its routine maintenance done religiously. This Corvette has new
suspension components, new exhaust, upgraded electronic ignition, a
new carburetor, new tires, and the radiator was also rebuilt,
serving to keeping this small block nice and cool. Speaking of
cool, the AC blows cool enough to keep you quite comfortable on
those hot sunny days. Unfortunately you couldn't get a convertible
in 76 but with the T Top option you get the best of both worlds.
The T Tops in this one are in excellent shape with the seals
locking down nice and tight. The black interior looks great and is
in excellent condition, thanks to recently replaced carpeting and
recovered seats with custom embroidered "Stingray" stitching. The
seat cushions still have plenty life left as they do not slouch a
bit. With the C3 market seeing a slight gain in pricing now is
probably the best time to buy one before they start skyrocketing to
where they were before. Options on this 1976 Chevrolet Corvette
include AM/FM, AC, Cruise Control, Power Steering, Power Brakes,
Power Windows, Power Locks, Tilt, T Tops, Anti-Theft System, Seat
Belts and Radial Tires on steel Rally Wheels. To view this 1976
