Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to offer a
beautiful 1967 Mustang Coupe. This plain Jane is as plain as it
gets on the outside with a very beautiful bright red paint that
looks wet. A small history note is starting in 1967 was the first
year for a redesign being done for the Mustang and if you're not a
car person, you may not notice the subtle changes. A lot of the
changes were directed towards increasing the overall size of the
car while still retaining the looks of the very successful first
generation. The larger car allowed for larger engines. This would
be the first year a big block would be installed into a pony car.
This would be the transition for a pony car to a muscle car. The
base Mustang was equipped with a straight six cylinder and the bad
boy would be the 390 cubic inch V8 producing 320 horsepower. The
following year '68 got even better with an available 428 cubic inch
big block and also debuted was 428 Cobra Jet. The '67 Ford Mustang
that we have listed for sale is equipped with that 428 Cobra Jet
engine w/ plenty of horsepower that is certainly no slouch. This is
still along the lines of the Mustang Pony car and is a true joy to
drive. Especially with a Four speed transmission big input shaft
toploader that is perfect for this Rat engine. When sitting inside
the cock pit bucket seats, you will notice the very nice brown
interior with 428 CJ badging on the dash to remind you what you're
packing under the hood. Options included AM/FM Radio, 4 speed
transmission, rear air suspension, sub frame connectors, Vinyl
