For sale in our Chicago showroom is a classic 1976 Cadillac
Eldorado Convertible. The Eldorado made it's debut in 1953 as a
full size convertible and 23 years later this beauty rolled out of
the Detroit assembly plant and was amongst the last of the Cadillac
convertibles offered until 1984. B y the 1970's all American
automobile companies were making things big and flashy with large
front ends, huge front grills and long sweeping fenders and quarter
panels and Cadillac was at the top of the game. This beauty
features beautiful white paint with a red convertible top and
matching luxurious red leather interior. Getting behind the
telescoping wheel and sliding across that massive bench seat you
feel like you have arrived at the pinnacle of 1970's opulence. The
interior is adorned with wood grained door inserts, cruise control,
tilt and telescoping wheel, power windows, power locks, outside
temperature read out, twilight sentinel and a power convertible
top. Under that massive hood you will find a massive and impressive
500 Cubic Inch V8 that was the largest production engine of the
time. That V8 starts right up with the turn of the key and idles
very nice and smooth. As you accelerate it is hard to even hear the
car running as the transmission flawlessly shifts gears and places
you at highway speed with ease. One press of the convertible top
button and you are ready to enjoy the rays or protect yourself from
any rain or cold. This car has had years of maintenance to ensure
that it stays on the road for future generations to love and enjoy.
