Gateway Classic Car of Dallas is more than proud to present this
1968 Dodge Charger R/T Tribute. The Chrysler B Platform, or B-Body,
underpinned some of the most popular cars in history. The 68-75
Plymouth Road Runner, the 67-71 GTX, the 65-74 Satellite, the
65-76 Dodge Coronet, and of course, the 66-78 Dodge Charger.
The second generation of the Dodge Charger is without a doubt the
most sought after of the Charger bodies. With its double-diamond
coke bottle profile, this shape is enough to stop anyone in their
tracks. This particular car started life as a light blue body,
white vinyl top, and powered by a 383 2bbl. My oh my, how far it
has come. It now sports a slick and sinister black paint job. Set
atop a set of Weld wheels and powered front disc brakes, this
Charger certainly looks the part of a muscle car. Making sure this
car walks the walk is a 440 CID V8 lurking under the hood. That is
backed up by a Torqueflight 727 3 speed automatic transmission and
a MOPAR 8 rear end. Inside, the black vinyl bucket seats give
you a perch from which to command the road and attention from,
while the A/C and aftermarket radio will make cruising all that
much more enjoyable. This is a big slab of American Muscle that you
arent going to want to miss. To view this vehicle in greater
