Vehicle Description
For sale in our Chicago showroom is this original, one owner 1978
Lincoln Towncar. This full size sedan not only is the epitome of
vintage luxury and still has room for 6 adults and all of their
respective luggage. Take a peek inside that trunk and you will see
enough room for several golf bags or plenty of groceries. This car
has traveled under 40,000 miles since new and is being sold by the
original owner who has meticulously maintained this car from new.
When new, these vehicles had a sticker price of right around
$22,000, which made it the most expensive American-made vehicle of
that year. Taking inflation into effect, this Lincoln would cost
almost $84,000 in US currency today. Luckily, we aren't crazy
enough to ask for that much. The 7.5 liter V8 engine purrs smoothly
at idle and hums quietly down the highway, comfortable at any
speed. The smooth Maroon metallic exterior features a matching
leather interior inviting you to sit for hours as you travel to
wherever the road takes you. The underside is just as clean as the
top showing minimal signs of any use at all. The glass is crystal
clean and all the windows roll up and down without hesitation.
Check out those oval Opera Windows with the Lincoln emblem proudly
displayed. Any imperfections in the road are simply ignored by the
smooth suspension. This classy Continental is a throwback to a time
when American vehicles were at the top of the luxury game, and a
Lincoln was a status symbol to be reckoned with. This is a
wonderful representation of what it meant to be a high-roller in
the late 70's and is as smooth as they come. Options include:
Air-Conditioning, Alloy Wheels, AM/FM radio, Leather Interior,
Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Door Locks, Power Seats, Power
Steering, Power Windows, Seat Belts, Tilt Steering Wheel, White
Walls, and a Numbers Matching Drive train. For more information on
this soulful survivor, contact our Chicago showroom. To see more HD
