For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a 1966 Shelby Cobra
Replica. Cobra Roadsters are hard to beat for smiles per gallon.
Following the oldest speed recipe in the book, these cars combine a
lightweight fiberglass body, no frills interior, a big displacement
V8, manual transmission, and two rear tires clinging on for dear
life. The brainchild of the near mythical Carol Shelby, the A/C
Cobra's remain legends of the car world and are some of the most
replicated vehicles on the planet. This Cobra is a Shell Valley
kit, and is titled as a 1998. The Shell Valley cars feature Kevlar
reinforced bodies and race inspired triangular rear suspension.
There is a very clear color theme of Red and Black throughout the
whole car, and it gives an already sinister car and even more
devilish look. The body is coated in a great Rosa Corsa Ferrari
red, possibly the most ironic color choice. Every accent piece on
the body from the rollbar, windshield trim, side pipes, fender
louvers, and bumpers has been painted a matte black that provides
great contrast. The American Racing Shelby Cobra wheels are the
natural choice for wheels, and of course they are black as well.
The interior follows up with much more black. In fact, everything
is black. The transmission tunnel and rear cabin wall are also
accented with read diamond stitching. The classic tilted racing
shifter is linked up to a T-5 5 speed transmission with a dedicated
transmission cooler, giving you more gears to keep the engine in
the power band more often. Speaking of the engine, typically under
the hoods of these cars you find an engine that makes such a
laughably unusable amount power, practical only for turning rear
tires into dust. Here, the decision was made to use a built 302 CID
V8. It is complete with Trickflow heads, and a full roller/rocker
valve train. Not only does this engine make more than enough power
to satisfy the hooligan in you, but it also keeps the weight down
in the nose of the car compared to a big block motor, improving
handling. Further enhancing the handling are adjustable coil over
springs at all corners, as well as four wheel disc brakes to slow
you down when you inevitably find yourself going far too fast. If
you are looking to get into some 4 wheeled trouble then view this
vehicle in greater detail including HD pictures and videos at
