For sale in our Chicago showroom is a steel 1929 Ford Model A
Roadster. This car not only incorporates the iconic design of the
late 20's and early 30's but also has a blast-from-the-past rumble
seat that is perfect for the little ones......or mother-in-law. By
the late 1920's the Model T was becoming less competitive in the
market with other manufacturers offering more modern conveniences
at reasonable prices. The folks at Ford fought to get old Henry to
produce something that was good looking and reliable but also more
sturdy and easier to drive and thus the Model A was born. This
styling would later become one of the most iconic car of the 1930's
and allowed families to travel longer distances with more comfort.
Fast forward many years and the traditional yet elegant style
became a perfect choice for hot-rodders of the '50's, '60's and
'70's. This particular vehicle was built in keeping with the iconic
style but offering a more reliable and powerful 350 CID V8 and
3-speed automatic transmission. The originality was retained
including unaltered body lines, original dash and vintage styled
gauges, original speedometer and fuel gauge and the classic
tuck-and-roll upholstery and the elegant etched vent wings. This
little blue beauty not only looks great but is a blast to drive and
the headers make this 350 growl down the road while you enjoy the
sunshine in this top-down roadster. This is the perfect vehicle for
those summer cruise nights or to take the family out for ice cream.
