For sale in our Dallas showroom is a unique 1977 FX4 London Taxi.
Equipped with a 2.7L Nissan Diesel 4-cylinder engine strength and
reliability aren't in question. This London Taxi Fairway was
restored/modified by The London Taxi Group, Ridgemont Beds, England
in the fall of 2011. New wiring harness, brakes, and tyres were
installed during restoration process along with an engine overhaul
and rebuilt 3-speed automatic transmission. In addition, a Kenwood
AM/FM radio/CD player installed in drivers compartment, an Oogah
horn, and two 12 volt fans installed to move air during the summer.
Finishing touches included two coats of the classic London Taxi
black paint. Since delivery in September 2011 (mileage 180,000),
three (3) cricket seats were added: two facing the rear in the
passenger compartment and one facing the front in the luggage
storage area next to the driver allowing for a total of six
passengers. The Taxi has a manually operated sun roof, electric
left side front door window, two (2) electrically operated side
view mirrors, power brakes and power steering. In the boot there is
a spare tire, jack and some spare parts (fan belt, oil filter,
windshield wipers etc) plus the side door-step. The vehicle runs
great with no vibration at 70 mph. It's always been garaged (in
Dallas, TX) and has been serviced by Kip Motor Company, Dallas,
Texas. The features include AM/FM Radio, Cd Player, Manual Sunroof,
Hub Caps, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Windows,
Seat Belts, Diesel, Cloth Interior, Vinyl Interior, and Radial
