For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a very clean 1985 GMC
Jimmy. Tough, rugged, and dependable, the K-series SUV's are a
staple in American automotive history. The Jimmy was for all
intents and purposes a rebadged K5 Blazer. The name was derived
from the "Jim" sound in GMC, similar to how the Jeep was named from
GP. Most of the K-Series trucks produced were subjected to the
abuse that only trails littered with axle snapping boulders and can
dish out, and are decked out with the accompanying suspension and
drivetrain modifications. This Jimmy is special because of its
unmolested state. This isn't a perfect vehicle, but considering its
age it is in excellent shape. The wear on the interior and exterior
is fairly typical for a vehicle that shows 69,142 miles on the
odometer. This generation of the Jimmy was not a true convertible,
but had the roof stop right behind the doors. This was done in the
interest of improving rollover safety. The cloth seats will keep
you and your passengers cool when riding with the back off the
truck. This would make a great summer cruiser for someone looking
for something different than a convertible sedan, or a base for a
square body off road rig. To view this vehicle in greater detail
